Let's face it. Americans have been targetted and ridiculed by foreigners for sometime now. I get a lot of negative dialogue from people abroad when I chat online. Overall based on the many people I chat with abroad; I gather we are no longer regarded as a superpower; more like arrogant bullies.

    I don't think so

A life lived in fear is no life to speak of.

No, no problems travelling abroad, including Europe. Just don't act like an idiot tourist.

I am an American and I live in Japan. I travel a great eal all over Asia. The stereotypical loud American is frowned upon just about everywhere. Be considerate and respectful of the country you are visiting, try to blend as much as possible, don't yap too much about Bush and you will be fine. I won't wear USA patriot clothes or wear a flag badge, either. You can't wait until we are not at war - you might never be able to travel again!
